Neighborhood Watch
Oakwoods has established a neighborhood watch program to help keep our residents informed!
The police department will periodically send e-mails to our neighborhood watch coordinator
and then they are sent out via the e-mail tree. If you would like to receive this
information, please send an e-mail to emailtree@oakwoodshomeowners.org.
If you are involved in a crime incident, call the police first, then notify your
block captain, the block captain coordinator, or the email tree. If you are not
involved in a direct crime, but notice any suspicious activity, please do not hesitate
to call the police to check it out then let us know so that other residents can
be made aware of the situation.
If you are interested in volunteering to be block captain, please contact the
address listed above!
Security Systems
A team of talented individuals created an article Home
Security Systems at Reviews.com. This resource includes valuable information members of
our association may find quite useful when considering a security system.
With close to 10 million property crimes every year, it is becoming increasingly important for
families to protect their homes. Having a home security system is one way families are protecting
their homes and studies show that there is a direct correlation with home security systems and
decreases in home burglaries. Because of this, my team and I have worked hard to provide families
a resource that will help guide them when considering a home security system. We hope to do this
by providing an in-depth guide featuring expert reviews, detailed comparisons, and data-driven
ratings. All this information is completely free, accessible to everyone, and centralized in one
location to save help families through an otherwise time-consuming process.
As an additional resource, the Consumer Affairs research team have created an
alarm and security guide
which you may find beneficial to visit.
